An iconic Nice hotel has been reopened after a restoration

A historic Hotel Plaza reopened with a new design and name after a four-year restoration. An exciting project of giving a new life to ex-Hotel Plaza was curated by three interior architects, including the David Collins Studio.

Along with the resurgence of Nice, the old hotel transformed into the luxurious Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel, so it is a perfect time to see what this is about.

The hotel has 151 airy and elegant rooms and 38 suites. The rooms on the fifth floor have balconies with sea views. As you may guess by the rooms categories, the two-bedroom Presidential Suite with a private terrace is the most luxurious and expensive option. Besides mainstream facilities like a coffee machine or custom-made linens, the rooms also have a range of custom scents for bath products created by an Aix-en-Provence perfumer.

The rooftop restaurant SEEN by Oliver is helmed by Portuguese chef Olivier da Costa, whose trendy venues in Sao Paulo and Bangkok draw the cool crowd. However, this is about more than just dining. It is also about the views - the panoramas extend 360 degrees to encompass the mountains, the Promenade des Anglais, and the sea.

Like most of the Anantara chain, Plaza Nice Hotel boasts Spa with five treatment rooms and a private wellness area with a hammam, sauna, and relaxation room. Treatments have top-of-the-line organic essential oils, marine cosmetics, and signature massages.
